This could save the lives of patients whose heart conditions might not have been detected during medical appointments. It can collect data of the sounds and electrical activities in the heart. The data is then uploaded into a machine learning model on a cloud server that will process it and identify abnormal heart sounds. The author also reports that users are only required to wear it for around five minutes per day to record their heart conditions and the saved data will be secured. This device is affordable as it only takes thirty dollars to produce it. Through this device, doctors are able to monitor their patients’ health more easily. Although there are similar products to monitor heart such as HD Steth (launched at the ongoing Arab Health 2018 in Dubai) in the market, the SmartStethoScope has its unique strengths in terms of ease of usage and affordable pricing that prove its potential to stand out from the competitors.

The Smart StethoScope is specially designed for the patients unlike most of the devices in the market like the HD Steth that are designed for the doctors. Patients with this device are able to track their heart conditions by themselves, without the company of the doctors. Usage of the Smart StethoScope is very simple compared to other devices. The users do not require any medical training or background. They only need to follow simple instructions and procedures to use this device. It will also provide greater convenience for the doctors as the data of the patients can be collected more efficiently. Since there is no fixed location required to use this device, users can choose to use it at any place according to their needs. Also, the heart problems that are not detected during the medical check-up can be detected by this device. Furthermore, the time taken for the usage of the Smart StethoScope is only around five minutes every day, which is very time-saving compared to other devices. 

The second strength of the Smart StethoScope is its affordable pricing. The production price of the Smart StethoScops is only around thirty dollars. With the low cost of production, the retail price of the Smart Stethoscope will be much cheaper than the retail price of the similar products in the market. For example, one HD Steth costs five hundred dollars. The low cost of the Smart StethoScope definitely enhances the affordability of the device. Wider range of the patients can be reached and more patients can buy this product to monitor their hearts.
